I have always considered myself an entrepreneur, even when I was younger I was always trying to make a quick buck. Whether I was opening up a little lemonade shop as a kid, or trying to jump on the internet sales band wagon as a teenager, I was always thinking about my next business venture. Now that I am in my twenties I am thinking more seriously about a career. I have started my own business about a year ago. It is funny how things work out, because when this company first started out, it consisted of me and my buddy sitting in my living room. Now I have twenty employees working under me and my business has continued to be profitable even in tough times like these.
When it began, my company was a first just a web design company for a select few local companies that did not have the time, or did not know how to created their own sites. Since then we have branched out so far and in addition to creating websites and designing logos for companies, we handle all aspects of their advertising online, with includes search engine optimization, and media marketing. With all of these things going on and all the the employees running around, things can get a little hectic. This is why I have looked to other companies to deal with some tasks. Payroll is one of these. Keeping track of all the employees, their wages, the shifts, and filling out proper tax information would all be too much work for me on top of everything else. By hiring an outside person to do the payroll I have cut out some of the unnecessary stress that could hinder my work performance.
